NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions Return To Berlin Music Week 2013

The Berlin Music Commission invites music business professionals to pitch and sell music to some of the industry’s busiest music supervisors from Hollywood, New York and London as well as to key German music supervisors.

In cooperation with the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP, USA), BMC has featured synch experts who select, commission and place music in blockbusters (The Amazing Spiderman, The Social Network, True Grit), television (True Blood, Grey’s Anatomy) and video games (SingStar, Guitar Hero).

The cooperation of NARIP with BMC has been a vital pairing for several years now. Here in Berlin we offer independent music companies and artists direct access to international industry leaders for the third time. Ultimately, Most Wanted: Music is a tool to help German artists and music companies develop and grow their international business.” Olaf Kretschmar (Cluster Manager BMC) points out the intention of the event.

As a direct result of NARIP’s last Music Supervisor Sessions in Berlin a track of the German band No-Fi Riots was placed in the movie Chronicle that became the #1 box office hit in January 2012 in the U.S. It is no wonder NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions have sold out three times in a row (2011, 2012 and 2013 at SXSW).

NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions
This year, NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions feature
Michael Hill (Nurse Jackie, Bored To Death) and VH1 / MTV’s Paul Logan (Basketball Wives, Couples Therapy, Black Ink Crew) who actively seek new music for current projects.

Participants at NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions receive a detailed brief in advance of the supervisor’s current music needs and an opportunity to pitch directly and receive immediate feedback. This simple, effective process has resulted in 50+ placements for participants at NARIP Sessions (read more at
