Since the recent announcement of the key dates and artists for the premiere of the club and showcase festival First We Take Berlin, the programme has continued to fill with further names such as New Young Pony Club, Fenech-Soler, London Grammar, Claire and many more acts.
Names such as Babylon Circus, OK KID, MC Fitti, Mighty Oaks or Kid Simius have been confirmed for the premiere of the new club and showcase festival ‘First We Take Berlin’ on 4 and 5 September. The programme is continuing to grow with recent additional acts such as New Young Pony Club, Fenech Soler, London Grammar, Claire, Asbjørn, Marla Blumenblatt and many others.
New Young Pony Club, the difficult to label band from London, started off their success story a few years ago with their single 'Ice Cream' and the album 'Fantastic Playroom'. At the First We Take Berlin festival they’ll be presenting their third and latest album.??
'Record Of The Week' and 'Weekend Anthem': these awards were presented to Fenech-Soler for their single 'Stop And Stare' by none other than BBC 1’s one-of-a-kind Greg James. Their second album 'Rituals' will be released right on time for the Berlin Music Week.
In the last six months London Grammar have created a storm of euphoria on the internet like no other act with just a handful of songs. Their EP 'Metal & Dust' reached the top 5 in the Australian iTunes charts and they’ve already had the honour of performing twice for the BBC Radio 1 Live Sessions. At First We Take Berlin they’ll be thrilling the crowds with their melancholic, dramatic pop style this autumn.??
