German hip hop duo Genetikk first appeared on screen with its free download mixtape, »Foetus«. After a few video singles via YouTube, the duo, which is comprised of rapper karuzo and producer sikk, released its first record, »Voodoozirkus«. Genetikk worked on their live performance skills supporting Wu Tang Clan's GZA on stage. Stylistically, Genetikk's roots lie in classic hip hop from France and the US, which becomes evident in karuzo's raps and sikk's organic and powerful beats.
