A failed musician, barely tolerated radio host, and recently turned hobby actor, boasting an M.A. after only 22 semesters of literature studies, Christoph Schrag combines all the qualifications needed to comment on the current state of affairs of almost anything. In his weekly radio show Unsigned on Fritz (RBB) he regularly puts himself and the health of others at risk by not only letting absolute newcomers play live on air but also mixing their sound himself without any professional education and while hosting the show. Out of anxiety to be fired any second he slates pop albums for radio network MDR on a part time basis and writes unjustified eulogies on utterly unknowable bands for the revived former SED party music outlet "Melodie&Rhythmus". No credible panel would be complete without his kind of brilliant mediocrity.
