Amaduo Fall Ba

Amadou Fall BA is a young Senegalese cultural operator artivist and social entrepreneur. In 1995, he discovered the Hip Hop culture, like all kids with his age. It was artist rapper in the group Lyrics Mortels with two of his childhood friends from 2001 to 2006.

In 2006 he decided to stop his music career to focus on organizing Hip Hop and Urban Cultures events. in February 2006 he participated in the creation of the Africulturban association with some friends of him which is now the largest Senegalese Hip Hop organization with more than 1250 members. In a short time Africulturban becomes the reference in West Africa in the field of Hip Hop and urban culture with the organization of the festival Festa2H (International Festival of Hip Hop and urban cultures) to be 10 years in June 2015 and which is led by Amadou Fall Ba.

In 2010 he became the CEO of Hip Hop Akademy (First training and documentation center in Hip Hop and Urban Culture) co-director of Urbanation Bboy (Panafrican urban dance festival) and in 2012 he founded the King Booking Management (the first l Fair Music Label in Senegal) that already has 4 albums on the market. Amadou Fall Ba has a higher education in cultural management in Hamburg, Germany with the Goethe Institute and the Kulturekonzept and other program like Creative Entreprise with the British Council in Dakar and Cultural Leadership recently in Morocco.

In December 2011 the Senegalese government has entrusted the National Commission for Urban cultures in the context of the third edition of the Fesman ( World Festival of Black Arts ) in 2013 and the City of Dakar appointed him as Commissioner urban cultures during Tandem Paris Dakar. Amadou has been consultant for USAID (American cooperation) as part of a project on youth music democracy and good governance in the Democratic Republic of Congo in August 2011.

Amadou Fall Ba has hosted conferences on youth self-employment and the role of culture in the development of civic consciousness in Austria Mauritania Tunisia Hungary Denmark. He was protractor for Unesco in November 2013 in Cape Verde at the High Ministerial meeting on the promotion of youth employment in the creative economy in West Africa. He was among the Emerging Leader of the German Marshall Fund in 2013 in Morocco. Since March 2014 he is special adviser in Hip Hop and urban culture for the Mayor of Dakar. Amadou is member of different networks like African Music Festival Network – Equation Musique and Zone Franche.
